Dive In

Hi Team,

Two of my flatmates, we’ll call them Tarzan and Gaston, are lovely strapping lads whom I adore, but polar opposites. Gaston loves to delegate, and delegate only. He thoroughly relishes in telling others what he thinks should be done and what we need to improve - but rarely follows anything through himself when it becomes remotely challenging. Once he runs into an obstacle, his idea is suddenly someone else’s problem. He can sport a loud mouth and loafing passivity.

Occasionally, we’ll all notice that something new has been built in our house. Or the work shed has been fixed up and organised. A new shiny coffee machine that we’ve had our eye on is all set up on the kitchen bench. Our beer fridge now has three taps, for three different brews, built into the outer door that link directly to a keg. (Priorities.)

And of course, this is all the handiwork of Tarzan. Rarely barks yet makes things happen that he believes is worth doing. It might be little things, or maybe it’s a complex undertaking. At least he puts his brain to use and gets his hands dirty.

When it can’t be done, do it. If you don’t do it, it doesn’t exist.

Bring your goals and your ideas to life. Whether it’s creating easy access to a few pints or riling up the entire dairy category in NZ supermarkets - making things happen is not easy. If it was easy, any old Joe or Jane could do it. But it’s not. That’s why you’re here.

If an enterprise fails quickly… no matter the scale, at least it lived to see the light of day and for others to learn from it.

Describing your idea, and how an idea actually takes form, can inevitably be two entirely different things. Why not take a shot and see what unfolds?

Einstein said, ‘There is nothing that is a more certain sign of insanity that to do the same thing over and over and expect the results to be different.’ An astute observation from a master observer. And hairdo inspiration to boot.
